Washington State

While Washington DC may be the more known “Washington” area in the US, the actual Washington State (of which Washington DC is not a part of) is also a major tourist destination that offers a lot of activities and sites to see for any type of visitor.

For the culture and art appreciators, Washington State is steeped in Native American culture, which is recognized and cherished through the numerous museums that dot the state. There is also no lack of outdoor activities for the more adventurous types like hiking and horseback riding, canoeing, boating and inner tubing, deep sea fishing and swimming, scuba diving, and a whole lot more. Washington State is also proud of its natural wildlife and scenery, with its many scenic roads and national parks that let tourists enjoy the wonders of nature.
