The Great Smoky Mountains of the Appalachian Mountains looks so mysterious with its mist forming all around the mountain. This phenomenon does have scientific basis: it’s caused by a mixture of naturally formed hydrocarbons and high humidity.
It’s basically a place where you can connect with nature in a myriad of ways. Hikers, canoers, and whitewater rafter enthusiasts can live here for months. It’s also a great place just to drive around in and take in all the views and sights.
A historical place, these mountains is where the Cades Cove Loop calls home. It’s a 7,000-acre valley inhabited by the Cherokee Indians in the past. It also stands as testament to the 19th century pioneers.

One of its islands called the Waikoloa, has interesting mixes of old-time and modern Hawaii. The traditional part of the island can be seen by going down the beaches of Kohala. On the modern side, you can head over to Kings’ Shops where you’ll find collections of stores, venues for cultural events, and restaurants.
